ITI Energy, part of ITI Scotland Ltd , which was recently integrated into Scottish Enterprise, commissioned Prospect to provide conceptual development and design services to the Orangutan Wind Turbine Access System R&D programme.
Shell Curlew D Riser Replacement
To maintain integrity of the Curlew D2 production riser during the replacement process, Prospect was contracted by CTC Marine to highlight operational constraints within which riser replacement could take place.
Analysis by Prospect has demonstrated that offshore wind turbines can have a wave power device that generates some 500KW of electricity, sufficient to power 125 homes, fitted to it with no strengthening of the structure.
Prospect was contracted by an installation contractor to determine safe environmental operating conditions for the retrieval of kinked Aquila 2 and 3 umbilicals.
